Hopefully everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Our Thanksgiving was filled with casseroles, calories, and celebrating family. We have Thanksgiving at my Mother-in-Laws with so much family! There are so many people that sometimes I can’t even explain how some are related, but no one cares, because it’s SO fun and everyone has such a great time! Both my husband and I come from families with an open door policy, “come one come all type vibe” that welcomes everyone. I absolutely love it! I think that is what is truly special about our family. It really makes it so easy for my husband’s family and mine to get along with such ease, it just comes natural. I know that’s not always easy for some families, but its a blessing for ours.
We started the day at noon with our immediate family’s Thanksgiving dinner, then around 3 all the extended family and friends join us for the fun that begins with our annual Thanksgiving Day hayride. My Father-in-Law really goes all out. They have TONS of acreage right off a refuge so we load up 50+ people it seems every year and enjoy music, holiday drinks, and laughs for the 2 hour hayride. When we return to the house for a fire and more fun, papa premiers his lights, like the Griswold’s! Thanksgiving at our family really makes us … Thankful for family. The memories my boys will have when they get older of these times, are priceless, because when it comes to Mammaws, Nana’s, Papa’s, and Grandpas, we are simply blessed! We will have these memories because the lengths they go to make these holidays traditions priceless. I remember the memories of Christmas Eve growing as a kid, that was my family’s big holiday, because my grandma and grandpa went ALL out, Santa and all!I pray my boys remember these Thanksgivings.
After being stuffed with Turkey! My mom convinced me to go to the corner stores and join the BLACK FRIDAY CRAZINESS!
WOW! I have NEVER gone to a Black Friday sale! But I’m happy she convinced me to try even though my patience only made it through ONE store! Target! I SCORED though! Off course, I bought myself a little treat! 😉
I purchased a NIKON set with 2 lenses that’s was last nights doorbuster deal over $300 OFF and I’ve already put to use. (My first shot!)
Both my boys are big gamers so the sales on gaming accessories were worth it! I don’t want to give to much away, because some little elves or my husband, may read my steals and know what’s wrapped under the tree! But I do want to share some of my great Black Friday finds that I will be taking advantage of ONLINE today, I think my patience has had all it can take publicly for Black Friday 2018! 😉
The 23 and Me Test! One of the hottest Christmas Items this year! Great for any genealogy lover, I have a few of those in our family. Just amazing what technology can do!
WE are HUGE fans of the automatic vacuum, so is my dog, he loves to chase it. We currently have one in each of our homes, we actually have a few different brands, and love them all. I will be getting another for the upstairs, I figure I’m going to go with the ILIFE again, I have this exact one at my lake house because I did not want to spend a fortune on a Roomba again for the lake house and I actually love it just as much. Works just as great as my top of the line Roomba. I actually bought one last Black Friday day for my parents too.
As I mentioned both of my boys are gamers, wireless and two of every thing is KEY! SO I’m sharing in this Black Friday purchase. Today’s price for this brand is actually better than what the local big discount department stores at advertising. Turtle Beach is known for great quality.
Now I feel like Oprah on this one! Because “You get a Sonicare, You get a Sonicare, You get a Sonicare!” Sonicare’s for everyone!
Everyone is due in my house for an upgrade and it seems to be every store’s doorbuster deal of the day! I’m going with the whitening version. There are so many, who would’ve known! They even now have a pink version! (hint, hint, hubby if you read this).
I hope you enjoy getting over your food comas and relax a little more this day after Thanksgiving, and enjoy some of these Black Friday finds … from home, in peace!
Resuming my normal blogs this week starting with some Strength!
Have a wonderful holiday weekend!
