Several Weeks ago I did a blog called Body Confidence. I talked about trying really hard to enjoy the “stage” of physical fitness I was currently in instead of stressing so much about where I want to be. I embarrassingly even shared my weight and scale photos. lol
I shared my struggles and my intimidation of the start of swim suit season, just like any girl. Difference for me this year, was the fact that I was 19 lbs heavier than I have been the past few summers and it was really getting in my head.
Don’t get me wrong I don’t think I look bad or it’s a horrible thing, I could of used a few lbs in those past summers. I was competing though so I was in the best shape, for me, that’s why the scale was so light. My husband actually likes me with a little more curve and I’ve had several compliments saying I look healthier now. In my head though I always compare myself to my best.
It was then I shared my start of Intermediate Fasting. Now I don’t want to get back down to too skinny and cut, just somewhere in the middle I would be happy with. I don’t want to be at competition weight, I want to live a little. I don’t want to give up my wine, deserts here and there, or grabbing one of the kids french fries every now and then. I’m not interested in completely cutting things out, like sugar. I like balance and moderation because I still want to live a little. So Immediate Fasting, I would give it a try.
Its been 2 weeks now, I’m down 2lbs the scale says but they are two different scales. When I weighed myself at the time I weighed myself in the mornings these two days, I’m really down 4 lbs with the same scale. That’s good, that’s progress!
Not going to lie, starting Internmiate fasting I was concerned and scared a little only because I wake ups STARVING normally. I have to admit it hasn’t been to bad. All morning I drink coffee and water. I find it easier now to hang in there until noon, but when noon comes I’m desperate for anything immediatly at 12:01! lol.
Now, the first weekend I started I did continue fasting through the Memorial Holiday weekend mornings, that was tough! Frying bacon for my boys out at the lake without having any, was tough! I did so for 2 days but by the 3rd day I was a little to hungry to be around, so I caved. I altered my Intermit Fasting plan to Monday-Friday and the 2 weekend days enjoy a light breakfast with the family.
Now I haven’t changed anything else. I haven’t cut anything out. I haven’t started a new work out regimen, nothing. Eating the same as I have been. SO that is progress, I guarantee I would see way more improvement if I kept it up during the weekend.
During this I literally broke my scale. lol. Not on purpose it was just old and time for new one. It died. So I found this new cool scale that I had to share thats been keeping me accountable.
THE YUNAMI PREMIUM SMART SCALE!
This thing is SO cool! It is my new favorite fun house gadget!
It’s a Blue Tooth Scale that sinks with your phone. It can also sink with your Apple Watch activity or a Fit bit! This thing is COOL! It measures more than just your weight. It measures Weight, Body Fat, Muscle Rate, Water, Bone Mass, Visceral Fat, BMR,BMI, Protein, and Body Age. It’s super cool to monitor all these stats as well, because sometimes the scale doesn’t change much but the stats do!
I had to share this new gadget! I’m happy my old one broke because this new gadget has made this new process a little more fun and informative.
You can add multiple users as well. Several people can download the app and sink their own phones to it. The app is also extremely user friendly and this thing took me only 30 seconds to quick start!
I’m still not where I want to be but at least I’m getting closer. I’m a consistent work in progress but I’m more focused on enjoying the phase where I am at, then where I was or where I want to be.
Heck I’m turing 39 in 3 weeks and wearing a little bit of a crop top today, after having a few kids! I’ll take that and be proud any day.
I will continue with the Intermediate Fasting during the week, maybe try some weekends, and continue to my goal of 10 more pounds this summer.
If your on the hunt for a new scale check this one out!
The Yunami Premium is pretty cool! My family loves it, so I had to share this Fun Friday Find!
I hope your enjoying exactly where your at instead of where you’ve been or where you want to be as well. I know it’s tough, but it’s worth the effort.
Happy Friday Mom Queens!
