If you’ve been following my Hormone Therapy journey with my affiliate team:
With Dr. Shelton and his amazing team, Thank You you for following! If you haven’t please feel free to catch up on the 3 previous blogs under the STRENGTH category here on my site.
I’ve been getting some great feedback and numbers on these blogs. Dr. Shelton’s office has been getting great feedback as well, so Thank You!
I hope in one way or another this journey helps answer some of your questions and motivates you to take control of how you feel as well! I have found it truly shocking how many factors in our lives that are influenced by our hormones.
So as promised, I wanted to check in for my 2 week follow up on the changes I have noticed so far. But first I’d like to (embarrassingly) share my incision site. I’ve had a few questions on how big the cut is. It literally measures less than 1/2 an inch! It’s TINY! Now I’m a bruiser and a bleeder. My body sucks at the healing process! When a doctor explains the worst side effects or the longest recovery time for anything, you can bet I fall into that awful category ten fold, so I’m actually surprised my incision site is not worse than it is. I did take arnica and turmeric though to help with bruising and swelling.
I did bruise the first week (But again I’m an easy bruise, ask my coffee tables and end tables!) I also just let my tape strips fall off themselves, I did not remove after 2 days. Best part, especially when it comes the time in 4-6 months to implant again, is the sites perfectly UNDER my swimsuit line! Relief for lake season! **cough, cough, Props to Dr. Shelton my vein self thanks you sincerely for that! 😉
Now not much change to report at the 2-week mark. I hear the BIGGEST CHANGES ARE AT 4 weeks! So I’m excited for the next 2 weeks to play out. The changes I’ve noticed at 2 weeks:
- My focus has improved
- At 4 pm I don’t crave coffee to fuel my energy for the remainder of the day
- I’ve been SLEEPING LIKE A ROCK! I also fall asleep A LOT quicker! Problem is I don’t want to wake up now! MY alarm now snoozes for 20 minutes, the benefit of sleeping well! lol
- better stamina in the gym
- full disclosure here, but the breast seem to be acting like its cold outside more often (if you get what I mean!) So I’ve been choosing more padded bras lately lol.
That’s all I’ve noticed so far like I said most of the major improvements begin to be noticed at the 4-week mark but I did want to check in and share what I’ve noticed these past 2 weeks since implantation on this journey with you.
At 4 weeks I head back to Elite Wellness and Anti-Aging and Hormone Therapy for my 4-week bloodwork check up to see how my body is responding to the dosage and supplements they provided me. I will check back then with my results and hope to share some great improvements then!
Happy Thursday Mom Queens! Almost the weekend!!!
