I think I start every monthly obsession blog off with “OMG, I can NOT believe it’s ___!”
Well, why stop now right?
“OMG! I can NOT believe it’s already November!” Seriously though, I can not believe how quickly this time has gone! NOVEMBER is a little special for my blog because it was a year ago I began blogging on MomQueen.com. 164 blogs later, and wow, here we are, it’s already November! My one year mark!
I want to start off by my READ for this month because it’s FINALLY available for pre-sale here on my site and at every major book store!
It’s also the reason I haven’t been blogging so much, I’ve been pouring my heart, soul, and a TON of hard work while totally stepping out of my comfort zone to pour into this new baby of mine:
This has really been A LOT of work. The past two months of deadlines, publishing, and editing were actually probably the most challenging part for myself. Hence the silence on my blog site. A girl can only do so much in a days work right? My priority this past October and November was to get #BasicBitch completed and out there just in time for the holidays! It’s now available for pre-sale and my only hope is that it can inspire at least ONE girl out there! I hope you check it out! I pray after reading it in it’s entirety your able to walk away with some sort of inspiration and redefined boost in confidence!
Next up is an actual home product I’m OBSESSED with:
I just started decorating for Christmas to get ready for Mom Queen Boutiques Holiday Open House and I forgot how much I LOVE these little guys! I blogged about them last year under my favorite household gadgets and a sneak peak of my Christmas Decor. After pulling them out again this year, I thought it was DEFINITELY worth featuring again! These are AH-MAZING! These little guys let me turn my Christmas trees on and off by my phone! They are a complete time saver, hassle free, and a great way to save energy (and your penny’s) on your electric bill! 😉
Now I chose this one because you do not need a hub like Alexa to control it, or if you hook it up to a hub like Alexia and say “Alexa, turn on the tree!” Wa-La! YES, ALEXA, yes! 😉 Ho, Ho, Ho!
The rest of November’s Obsessions still seem to focus on renewing and reviving the skin:
MICRO ME AWAY!
This time of year my skin gets dry, my poor son,Van, has it the worst. His eczema seems to be the worst this time of year. My skin seems to take the change of weather just as harsh even my face. I have seriously sensitive skin that turns red super easy. I love to go get a peels in the winter or a good microderm. October is the month I try and have my skin recover from too much Texas Sun all summer, and November seems to the month I try and rid the dull and give it back some life.
PMD PRO PERSONAL MICRODERM TOOL:
I purchased this little guy as an add on in my monthly Fab Fit Fun Box this past Fall. I just recently started using it. I really like it for an at home tool. It has two different settings and I feel it’s effective. As effective as if you were to get a professional Microderm treatment, no. BUT using this as a consistent at home treatment with an incredible serum after to really soak in I think can be just as effective and also preventive. For an at home remedy and tool, I’m really enjoying this and the convenience of the at home when I can fit it in my crazy schedule, rather than committing to an hour at the skin spa. Now I’m on the hunt for an amazing serum for December, right now I’m using my Rodan and Fields.
Bonus: It also comes in PINK! 😉
DON’T CAKE IT, BLOT IT 😉
Like I mentioned it’s the time of year skin is transitioning and becomes a little dry. I am a HUGE fan of blotting papers! Especially in the winter months!
I used to use my compact and reapply to freshen my make up finish. No longer! Now I apply in the morning and only use blotting papers to freshen up. They absorb the oil without adding layers of make up. Layers do NOT look good on dry skin. This time of year it begins to look caked on vs freshened. As I get older too my fine lines are becoming a little more “not so fine” ;)- so adding “more” just adds and sits more into the “not-so-fine” line and wrinkles. These blotting papers are a great remedy to freshen your look without reapplying. They have so many different variations. I like The Clear Complexion Blue Pack and The Black Charcoal Mattifying Black pack the best.
There you have it these are the 4 things I seem to be obsessed with this month. The plugs have been my BFF this past week, I really forgot over the year how much I enjoy the ease of them.
For those that follow my blog, I want to Thank YOU for your patience these last few months while I focused on getting Basic B!tch complete! I look forward to catching up with the 2 page list of blog topics I have in front of me! ;)-
Happy November Mom Queens!
