I’m the kind that listens to music to set my mood.
If I’m at the lake cooking and relaxing it’s the Pandora’s Lake Life Radio, Journey Radio, Gipsy King Radio, or Blake Shelton Radio. If I’m around the house working and cleaning it’s Girl Crush Radio setting my chill mood. If it’s a Friday night and I just opened a bottle of wine it’s John Legand Radio.
I pay the $10 a month for uninterrupted music by Pandora and I think its worth it! I would spend WAY more than that in Itunes every month creating and adding new vibes to my old music that I already know the lyrics of. Also if a song I don’t care from comes on, I give it a thumbs down and I never hear it again and it deselects others like it. I also love that it’s just NOT that particular artist its others with the same feel. I really like it. Not to mention during the holidays! OMG! Mariah Carey or Pentatonix’s holiday station! YES, girl!! 😉 All day, everyday, uninterrupted and it drives my husband BANANAS! haha! lol!
When I work out I typically listen to Pandora’s Pop and Hip Hop Power Workout, their Rap Strength Training Station (this is typically my go to), or if I’m in a mood AC/DC station! I know I’m all over the place, that’s my life! I’m eclectic thats for sure. But it has to keep me motivated. I can’t listen to the same things, doing the same workout so I have to change it up.
My reason for this blog is I wanted to share my new INSPIRATION and discovery in these stations! The POWER behind my runs lately! I’ve discovered a new type of workout motivation through Pandora! It’s clips of motivational speakers speaking like Dr. Eric Thomas (Detroit Love here, native Detroiter so I really enjoy his), Steven Furtic, even Joel Olsteen! They put clips of their speeches to rap beats and music and its freaking genius! Genius! I’m not exactly sure what the type is called or what genre you can search but I search by the artist now and it pulls up and plays so many others. A few I liked today was Dr. Eric Thomas: Thank You and Celebrate. Do It Again or I Will Be Confident by Steven Furtick. I could go on and on.
Has anyone heard of these? It’s incredible!
You all this stuff is good! For those that like a good pushing music, that like to be inspired, that like motivational podcast, and rap beats… this stuff is GENIUS! My new Obsession! It’s also showing in workouts!
It even took me to a hyped up great spin of even Christian music mixed with a rap beats like: Start Over by Flame. If you just type in one. Like I type in Dr. Thomas or Eric Thomas it just keeps going. Love the energy the beats gives you and the motivation the WORDS are giving!
You All check this out! Hey and If you have Pandora access, if you don’t like one just hit next! I had to share this new inspiration! I even told my husband to give it a try! If your a power lifter, runner, spinner, what have you, check this out! Really gives me that extra “umphh” and makes my 5K breeze by but most importantly keeps my mind on target.
If you do give a try I would LOVE to know your thoughts. Even if it’s not these particular artist check this new trend out! Hope this makes your workout a little more powerful! The power in a playlist is amazing!
Happy Thursday Mom Queens!
