Looking back on all the growth these two, especially Trae, has began this year in just a short amount of time, makes me most Thankful for the opportunity we’re blessed with in providing my boys with the help they need this year, especially for Trae.
Not going to sugar coat, YES it’s been tough, but it’s worth the battle. He may not be as happy or as comfortable yet as he would like to be at his new school, but I can tell you that’s the FIRST parent teacher conference that I did not leave CRYING! Instead all 8 teachers were! Yes a team of 8, that works with Trae individually EVERYDAY and constantly making everyday evaluations and adjustments to ENSURE he makes the progress he needs. It may be baby steps, but it’s steps!
Today I’m most thankful for these two little Turkeys full of spice and the blessings we’re fortunate to have to provide them the special education they need to be able to learn! My kids are far from normal, but as Trae has learned and preaches – Normal IS boring! Trae may have broke double digits this year but we’re going to break his short term memory barrier block this year as well, And make some progress, I just KNOW it! And if he gets close, we have the opportunity that this Turkey’s gonna be able to read! That’s huge for Trae! It’s the small things right, the small things we take for granted that others may not be blessed with, that today we take time to appreciate. With a happy heart…
